CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland men's basketball team lived up to its No. 1 seeding in the SUNYAC tournament, beating No. 2 Plattsburgh 75-61 in the final on Sunday for its first tournament title since 2000 and its first NCAA Division III tournament berth since 2006.
Jeremy Smith scored 24 points and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
