Police searching for man who robbed Key Bank
UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a downtown bank.
Officers were called to the Key Bank branch on the corner of Genesee and Hopper streets around 3 p.m. Wednesday. They say a man threatened a clerk and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say the man was last seen on foot heading west on Court Street. They say a dye pack in the stolen money exploded and the suspect is likely covered in red dye, which does not wash off.
Police say the suspect is about 5-feet-8-inches tall, in his late 20s or early 30s. They're asking anyone with information to call them at (315) 223-3515.
