FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- More than 2,000 Fort Drum troops are deploying to Afghanistan this spring.

The Department of Defense announced the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade will be among three units to deploy as part of an upcoming troop rotation.

Around 2,200 brigade members from Drum will join nearly 3,000 more from posts in Georgia and Texas.
