CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Wind continues to be a concern throughout the region today. Gusts reaching as high as 50 miles per hour or more have caused numerous power outages.

In Onondaga County, the wind brought down a tree and power lines on Myers Road in the town of Manlius. Police shut down the road for a couple of hours while crews from National Grid cleaned up the mess.

According to National Grid's website there have been several outages affecting a thousand or more customers.

One of the largest outages was in Camillus, where the morning commute was a little tricky as some traffic lights were out. At the intersection of Hinsdale Road and Milton Avenue, drivers had to get through the intersection the old fashioned way.

Luckily, most outages were restored quickly.
