SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- All charges are dropped against a man who was arrested in connection with a 2011 homicide in Syracuse.

Nikeem Brown was arrested and charged with manslaughter after police found Sherman Jackson, 19, stabbed to death on South Alvord Street on Christmas Eve 2011. Brown was shot during the incident. But a grand jury found Brown acted in self-defense and dropped the manslaughter charge.

The jury did charge him with criminal possession of a weapon, but now that charge has also been dismissed by a judge.
