SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A memorial for a homicide victim on Syracuse's east side was interrupted by an unthinkable act of violence. Police responded to reports of shots being fired around 6:20 p.m. Sunday on Croly Street, the same location that 17-year old Eddie Dozier Junior was shot to death on Wednesday.

Police say a white car drove by the memorial and fired shots at the same spot where the homicide took place. No one was hit by the bullets.

A short time later, detectives found an abandoned white sedan behind the Manhattan Lounge on Cherry Street that seems to match the description.

Syracuse Police ask that anyone with information give them a call at 442-5222.
