UTICA, N.Y. -- The man who shot and killed a Mohawk Valley Community College student in July has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Jamal Gadson was arrested back in September for the death of Jermaine Stubbs, 35. Police say the incident started as a dispute at a bar on Lenox Avenue, then escalated to a shooting.

After months on the run, Gadson was taken into custody in North Carolina.

Gadson is expected to be sentenced to 20 years in prison in February.
