Sheriff's office looking for truck involved in hit and run

By: Web Staff

LOWVILLE, N.Y. -- Lewis County sheriff's deputies are looking for a truck that was involved in a hit and run in Lowville.

Deputies say around 8 p.m. Thursday, the truck hit an Amish buggy at the intersection of State Route 12 and Nefsey Road and then took off.

Two people inside the buggy were not hurt, but the buggy did sustain extensive damage.

The truck is a newer model Ford F-250 or F-350 and should have front passenger side damage.

Anyone with information about the hit and run is asked to call the Lewis County Sheriff's Office at 376-3511.
