ITHACA, N.Y. -- Authorities have made a second arrest in connection with the shooting of an Ithaca Police officer last month. Kimberly Harden, 35, is charged with hindering prosecution.
Police say Harden helped out Jamel Booker, the man accused of shooting the officer during a chase on October 11th. Booker was pulled over that night for driving a stolen vehicle. Police say Booker initially left the scene, but opened fire after being approached by Officer Anthony Augustine.
Booker is scheduled to be arraigned on charges that include attempted murder later this week.
Harden is being held on $5,000 bail.
