VOLNEY, N.Y. -- A late night crash killed an Oswego County woman. It happened just before midnight on Friday on Silk Road in Volney.

The sheriff's office says Karen Henderson, 44, of Fulton, drove off the road and hit a tree. She died at the scene.

A passenger, Brittany Thompson, 39, was taken to Oswego Hospital. There is no word on her condition.

Deputies are still investigating what caused the crash.
