Mother and child hospitalized following fire in Volney

VOLNEY, N.Y. -- A mother and her child were hospitalized after an early morning fire in Volney. Four people in all were displaced by the fire at the Crosbey Hill Mobile Home Park. It started around 5 a.m., and spread to another home before it was put out around 5:45 a.m.
Officials say the woman and her two-and-a-half year old were taken to Oswego Hospital to be checked for possible smoke inhalation. The other two residents were not hurt.
The Red Cross is helping everyone who was displaced.
