NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Syracuse University women's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the Big East during Media Day Thursday in New York City while senior center Kayla Alexander was named to the Preseason All-Big East team and former Cicero-North Syracuse star-turned-UConn forward Breanna Stewart was named the Preseason Freshman of the Year.
Connecticut was picked to finish first in the conference followed by Notre Dame and Louisville.
