WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man has been arrested for promoting prostitution in Syracuse and Watertown. State Police in Watertown took Eric Oliver, 29, into custody following an investigation into prostitution of a 15-year-old girl.
Police say the mother of the teen reported her missing in June and told police she believed her daughter was engaging in prostitution. The girl was also taken into custody and her case was transferred to family court.
Oliver is charged with promoting prostitution because police say he was profiting from the girl's prostitution. He's currently behind bars at the Jefferson County Jail without bail.
