SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse men's lacrosse head coach John Desko has wanted a shot clock in the college game for years and he is finally on the verge of getting his wish--sort of.

The NCAA has a proposal to add a 30-second shot clock after a stall warning has been called and it was scheduled to be voted on Friday, September 21. Desko says it is a compromise between those who want a clock to speed the game up and those who prefer to hold the ball for long stretches of time to keep it out of the opponent's hands.
