Three killed, one injured in Duane crash
DUANE, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed three people in the town of Duane, on State Route 30 just before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Police said an SUV driven by Peter Patrenicola, 62, crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a car driven by Patrick Krolak, 42.
The SUV rolled over and caught fire. Patriencola was rescued by a passerby and taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a Vermont Hospital, where he is in stable condition. Krolak and two passengers, a man also named Patrick Krolak, 72, and Rita Krolak, 70, were all pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still looking into what caused the crash.
