FDA recalling cantaloupe from Indiana farm

UNITED STATES -- An Indiana farm is tied to a recent salmonella outbreak from cantaloupe, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA says Chamberlain Farms could be one source of the multi-state outbreak. It's issuing a formal recall of the melons.

The melons were sold in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and 19 other states, but not in New York.

A total of 178 people have been infected. Two people have died and more than 60 others hospitalized.
