POTSDAM, N.Y. -- NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace is getting ready for the big race in Watkins Glen this weekend. He made time to see his fans in Potsdam Friday.
Wallace dropped into TJ Toyota for pictures, autographs and even a hug or two. He says he's always pleasantly surprised how many fans he has across the country and is excited to see thousands of NASCAR fanatics gather together this weekend.
"Everybody, you know, once a year comes to Watkins Glen because all the stars of NASCAR roll in. You have a big chase for the championship right now, we're coming down to the end and everybody wants to see what's going to happen," said Wallace.
Wallace says his favorite thing about NASCAR is that it's a family sport. He especially loves the small rivalries between families while they cheer for different racers.
