OGDENSBURG, N.Y. -- Controversy surrounding the City of Ogdensburg and their former city manager isn’t over yet.
In January, Arthur Sciorra was terminated from his position as Ogdensburg city manager. He was blamed when the city discovered that a family had been living in a city owned property rent and tax free for more than two years.
Now, almost seven months later, Arthur Sciorra has filed a notice of claim against Ogdensburg and city councilor Michael Morley. Sciorra says Morley made a slanderous comment about him in public. Sciorra claims his reputation has been damaged and has not been able to find work as a city manager elsewhere.
The claim does not say how much Sciorra is seeking in damages.
