CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Cortland police have made an arrest in connection with a weekend assault on Main Street. Police say Robert Miller, 25, was found unconscious on the sidewalk early Saturday morning. He is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital.

Witness interviews led to the arrest of Kaywon Pittman, 24. Pittman is charged with first degree gang assault, second degree assault, conspiracy and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The gang assault charge indicates police believe at least one other person was involved and they are trying to find additional persons of interest.
