Tracking the storms at the Emergency Management Office

Severe thunderstorms are hitting parts of New York this afternoon. Meteorologists and officials with the State Office of Emergency Management are tracking the severe weather as it moves across the state. Our Megan Cruz has more from the New York State Office of Emergency Management.

The state has some recommendations to prepare for the storms. They said you should tie down outside furniture and anything that can become a projectile. Make sure to have your cell phone charged, stay away from windows during the storms, and stay off the roads if possible.
