ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Additional manpower has been called in to help find a water line break in the Village of Star Lake, causing a loss of water to a large percentage of the village.

Rural Water will be helping out. The Fine Town Supervisor says they have better technology to help find the leak.

The boil water advisory is still in effect. The town is prohibiting water usage for things like watering lawns and plants, washing cars and filling pools. They're also asking that bathing be reduced to a minimum.

Meanwhile, crews are still working to fill up the water tank. It's a process that started Monday.

Water pressure has been increased slightly, but the tank is still only about half full.

There is potable water available for customers of the Star Lake Water District at the Star Lake Fire Department, 4187 State Highway 3, Star Lake.
