LAKE CLEAR, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a two car fatal accident that happened around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning on State Route 30 in Lake Clear. They said that William Martin, 92, was pulling out of the Lake Clear Post Office, and drove into the path of a vehicle operated by a Tucker Houghton, 20.

Houghton was towing a 16 foot boat and was unable to avoid Martin's car. Martin was brought to the Adirondack Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by blunt force trauma. Houghton and a female passenger refused treatment at the scene, but were later treated and released for minor injuries. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
