AUBURN, N.Y. -- It is a house with a history. Built in the 1840s, this estate along South Street in Auburn ended up as the boyhood home to the Dulles brothers, John Foster Dulles, a secretary of state under Dwight Eisenhower, and Allen Dulles, who once served as head of the CIA.

When the Dulles family moved out, they sold the home to the state of New York which made it the residence for the warden of Auburn prison. It remained the Warden's home for 80 or more years.

But now, the state is ready to sell. It's begun holding open houses leading up to a July auction.

The assessed value of the home is just over $330,000. The opening bid for the auction will be $125,000.
