ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- On the same day his killer was sentenced, the Oneida County Legislature approved a measure ensuring Kurt Wyman's memory will live on.

Undersheriff Robert Swenszkowski says lawmakers have given the okay to rename the Sheriff's Office headquarters the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building.

Swenszkowski says the legislation was passed unanimously, with all of the legislators signing on as co-sponsors.

The official renaming is expected to take place later this spring.
