WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A month long investigation by the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force has resulted in an arrest.

More than two ounces of crack cocaine valued at more than $6,000 was found at an apartment on Franklin Street in Watertown. Officers also found a small amount of marijuana and nearly $200 in cash.

Algernon Anthony Lovell, 31, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony charge.

The Drug Task Force was assisted by the State Police Narcotics Team, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Watertown Police.
