BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Organizers say there will not be a 23rd Southern Tier Earth Fest…at least not this year. The event usually draws thousands to MacArthur Park to celebrate Earth Day and the nature surrounding the greater Binghamton area.

But this time around, organizers said they were not able to secure a venue due to the continued closure of MacArthur Elementary School. They said they are confident that the event will take place next year.

The annual festival features movies, music, food, and recycling exhibits, all while raising money for charity.
