One person killed in Tompkins County crash
TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- One person is dead following a crash in Tompkins County. It happened late Tuesday night on Pinckney Road in Dryden.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found a car rolled over into a ditch with five people inside.
The driver of the car, William Owens, 22, of Freeville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Karen Williams, 19, of Dryden and Shana Swansbrough, 24, of Ithaca were airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Two others were treated at the scene and released.
There's no word yet on what may have caused the crash.
