ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new trial for Wayne Oxley has been pushed back. Oxley was convicted in 2006 of beating his neighbor, Bernard Trickey, to death with a baseball bat.
But that verdict was thrown out after the defense attorney claimed that the judge refused to hear testimony from one of the witnesses. Oxley has been in jail since his first conviction.
The new trial was set to start on Monday, but has now been postponed to sometime this summer. An exact date has not yet been assigned.
