SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse men's lacrosse team might have a lot of new faces this year, but Sunday's season-opener against UAlbany looked very familiar as the No. 8 Orange used a 10-0 run over a 41-minute span to power its way to a 12-7 win.

JoJo Marasco had a hat trick and an assist and Tommy Palasek had three assists to lead the offense while the Orange played two goalies on defense. Redshirt sophomore Matt Lerman made six saves and allowed two goals in the first half (UAlbany was man-up for both) and true sophomore Dominic Lamolinara made 10 stops in the second while allowing five goals (UAlbany was man-up for two).

Syracuse trailed 2-0 in the first quarter before starting the 10-0 run and is now 10-0 all-time against UAlbany. Next up for the Orange is Army Sunday at the Carrier Dome starting at 2 p.m.
