At the Vatican City, the final event of a long weekend for a former Syracuse nun takes place. Pope Benedict met with pilgrims from Central New York, praising the life of Mother Marianne Cope.
Cope and a second nun from Spain were honored over the weekend. The pope says both set an example for modern day Christians.
The pope greeted Syracuse Bishop James Moynihan along with several other Central New Yorkers.
