Web garden still growing strong

Web garden still growing strong

Despite the fact that the growing season is winding down we still have plenty of growing going on in our web garden. Just last week a watermelon sprouted and is growing rapidly. It was just a tiny thing a week ago, now it's the size of a golf ball!.

Our habaneros are ripe and ready for picking along with a couple of more cayenne peppers. The cayennes are growing really well and we expect to have quite a harvest judging by the number of blossoms.

Lots of flowers on our cucumber plant but still waiting for some actual fruit. Also, a lot of flowers on the cantaloupe but no fruit yet.

The green beans are still growing and have a few beans and the former wilted tomato plant has many blossoms but still only one actual tomato.

Speaking of tomatoes, we have a couple of more cherry tomatoes that have popped out with more blossoms indicating perhaps that some more are forthcoming.

So as I said, despite the fact that fall is approaching, we're still seeing plenty of growth in our first-ever web garden.

As always, if you have a question or comment, e-mail us at web@ynn.com.
