CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- James Taylor has Carolina on his mind. The five-time Grammy winner and North Carolina native is scheduled to perform at CarolinaFest in uptown Charlotte on Labor Day before the start of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

He will also perform at Bank of America Stadium on the night of President Obama's acceptance speech.

Durham-based rock band Delta Rae is also scheduled to perform that night.
