SACKETS HARBOR, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people lined the streets of Sackets Harbor to honor the 2012 state champion boys basketball team.

The village hosted a parade for the Patriots, who captured the Class D title this past weekend in Glens Falls.

The team says they're overwhelmed by the support received all season long, and cannot believe how many people showed up Tuesday night.

"I think even more than basketball, they just want to come out and support the success of these young guys. They know the work they put in," said Sackets Harbor Head Coach Jeff Robbins.

"It's an absolute awesome feeling to know everyone out here is here for us. Just to cheer for us and show their support that we won a state championship. So it feels amazing to know all these people care," said senior Zach Allen.

"They just support us with everything no matter what it is. Whether it's basketball or just school in general, they're always helping us out and cheering us on," said Noel Burnett, a senior at Sackets Harbor.

The team also heard from several village and school officials about how proud everyone was of their accomplishment.
