Sports Director

Mark Larson
This is the second time Mark Larson's chosen to move to Central New York. From 1995 to 1997, he was a sports reporter at WIXT in Syracuse. Before YNN, he was the sports director at KEZI (ABC) in Eugene for six years covering the Ducks and the Beavers. Mark's career started in Madison, WI, where he graduated from the University of Wisconsin and worked at WMTV (NBC) for five years.

Sports reporter

Brian Sandler
Ever since he decided to attend Syracuse University, Central New York has had a hold on Brian. After graduating in 2004 he joined NBC affiliate WKTV in Utica, and after more than five years there he returned to Syracuse to be part of the YNN sports team.

Despite hailing from outside of Philadelphia, Brian is an avid Mets fan. In addition to the many great high school and college games he's been privileged to cover, his favorite in-person sports moments include Benny Agbayani's 13th-inning game-winning home run in the 2000 NLDS and, of course, celebrating SU's 2003 national basketball championship on Marshall Street in the snow!

Brian anchors YNN's weekend sportscasts. If you have any story ideas or comments he welcomes them at brian.sandler@ynn.com and he also has a fan page on Facebook.

Brian Mueller
Brian has been covering Syracuse sports since the day he stepped foot on the Syracuse University campus in 2005. Originally from St. Louis, MO, Brian graduated from SU with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and is an avid Orange fan.

Prior to working at YNN, Brian worked at CNY Central in Syracuse as a sports and news reporter for two years.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys trying to play basketball, exercising and helping coach the Syracuse University Mock Trial team.

If he's not watching an Orange game, you can probably finding him rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams, Blues and Missouri Tigers.

If you ever have an idea for a sports story or just want to talk sports, feel free to e-mail him at brian.mueller@ynn.com.
