POTSDAM, N.Y. -- A North Country college has found a way to make science fun and accessible for the community.
Clarkson University created Science Cafes three years ago. The laid back lectures touch upon tough subjects like this week's topic, exercise myths. The lectures are free and open to the public weekly. They are taught by experts in the field.
The exercise myths lecture is being led by a physical therapist who says she wants to spread the word on what is fact and what is fiction.
Deanna Errico, Clarkson University Physical Therapy Professor, said, "They're out there and I want to debunk some of these myths to really encourage people to exercise. I think people are using some of them as excuses to avoid physical activity."
You can catch the Exercise Myths Lecture Wednesday night. For more information on Science Cafes, you can head to www.clarkson.edu/sciencecafe.
